Characters must be 16 years or older to be appable, players must be 18 or over, AUs, CRAUs, multiples, and OCs are allowed.
You must know someone in the game to apply, apps are very lax but this is a closed comm game, due to the sensitive nature of events.
Fill out the following form and plop it on this post with a heading of the Application - Character Name - Canon format.

Hey did you put Application - Character Name - Canon: format in the heading?

Cityville is a panfandom laid back horny RP with no plot and no restrictions on what your characters can do (beyond the ones laid out in the rules of course!)
More specifically it's a game set in a shifting modernish city with access to anything you can dream up, no escape, and a heavy emphasis on non-consensual body horror, sex, cannibalism, gore, and whatever else the mods might dream up as fun.
Once a month* there will be two prompts for characters to engage in. One prompt will be fairly generic, weird, mostly harmless. The other prompt will be extreme. Both prompts are optional to engage in and can happen at any time to character during the month! The prompt format will be in the past tense, though if you really want to thread out the action the prompt says already happened you can!
Here's an example:
As you can see the prompts assume actions already happened, that the characters had no agency in the actions, and that now they must face the fallout. All prompts assume that the characters, if not otherwise inclined to certain actions, were forced, brainwashed, mind-controlled by the setting, drugged, threatened, or otherwise coerced into that action. Whatever is fun for you! And if that months prompts aren't fun to, you don't need to engage with them! You are also free to come up with your own adventures!
As a sidebar, things don't have to go the exact way the prompts say. Let's say Sally wants to play out 2b part of the prompt and Rick wants to play out 2a. They could decide that Sally's character independently decided to kidnap and eat Rick's character (maybe because of setting brainwashing) play that out, and ignore the "kidnapped by cannibals" part entirely. Consider the prompts just that, prompts, not law for how to play out how it went, or if you want to play through the actions, not law for how it should go.
The coercive and non-consensual nature of the setting and prompts aside, players are free to thread out and enjoy the setting as fully and freely as they like, slice of life it up, start a baking channel, spend 100% of your waking time making tiktoks, whatever you wish.
*or as often as mods feel like, but if they're more often the extras will almost always be horny and weird

Here's an example:
- 1. Characters wake up to find they've bought a lifetime supply of doritos and mountain dew. Not sure what you're going to do with all that because it doesn't fit in the kitchen and your roommates might get annoyed if you put it in their rooms.
2. Your character was kidnapped by cannibals last night and forced to attend dinner.
- 2a. As dinner. They're regenerating now, but kind of slowly, you might still be missing bits. They helpfully dumped your bones somewhere, player choice, or, alternately, you're regenerating outside the apartments.
2b. As a guest. You might or might not have recognized what (who) was on the menu but you ate anyway. Why? Maybe you roll that way. Maybe you aren't actually sure why you did it yourself. You were into it. You enjoyed dinner at the time. But now? Well you feel how you normally would about it, now.

Rules and info
Jun. 2nd, 2020 02:02 pm1. Be kind to each other. Respect each other.
2. You must be 18 or over to play in this game.
3. Characters must be 16 or older to be apped to this game.
4. This game WILL have; cannibalism, sexual situations, gore, drug use, brainwashing, body modification, monsters, horror, etc. Quite a bit of it will be non-consensually acted upon characters. Please be advised.
5. As stated above, this is a game with a non-consensual premise and a lot of non-consensual sexual and body horror things are going to happen to your characters. You are not obligated to play with the monthly events, but be aware other people will be, and if that's uncomfortable, this isn't the game for you! And that's okay, because you're very cool and we want to respect your comfort zones, just as we want you to respect your own comfort.
6. Because of the premise, communication is key. Let everyone you're threading with know what you are and aren't okay with, make sure everyone is on board with things, and if miscommunication happens, try to work it out with good faith for everyone involved.
7. If things get to a point you can't work them out please contact a mod for mediation! We want everyone to feel comfortable.
8. Have fun! It's the law.

Do I have to play out the prompts exactly as written?
No! This is so important I'm repeating it from the premise page:
Things don't have to go the exact way the prompts say. Can you buy it?
Yes.
Can you do it?
If all parties agree OOCly, yes.
Can you break the game?
I would prefer not that one.
Can your character leave the city?
No. They black out and wake up in bed with a bloody nose if they try to leave city limits in any direction, swim too far at sea, or fly too high.
Are powers on?
Yes.
Are AUs allowed?
Yes.
Are multiples allowed?
Yes. Up to three, but all must be okay with each other and only one can be canon unless the canon has extremely diverse iterations, eg, Kingdom Hearts Aerith vs Final Fantasy 7 Aerith are both allowed.
Are CRAUs allowed?
Yes.
Are canon OCs allowed?
No. This includes warriors of light, or silent protagonists that don't have a fairly distinct personality.

AC is once a month. Link a thread you're having (more than 5 comments from you) or check in to say you're still planning to play. If it's been two consecutive months and you haven't linked an AC thread you'll be dropped unless you talk to a mod. The thread must have been started within the AC month.
The first month of AC is waived.

Basics:
The setting is simple; it's a modern town! Not too urban, not too rural, there's a bit of everything, including a little bit of wilderness, a beach, all kinds of shops, anything you want. Why aren't I being more specific? Because it really is anything you want. The setting shifts subtly day to day so the beach might be different every time you visit, and that tea shop you were at last week might now be a movie theatre. The woods out back could now be a lake. Or maybe it's the same for weeks and weeks, whatever is convenient for you. The main idea is you can handwave anything from a quaint tea shop to a 99 level crypt dungeon into existence at your will.
The exception is player-run stores; those will stay the same unless the players running them wish otherwise. And a few landmarks like town hall and the arrival apartments tend to stay the same.
Your character on arrival:
Your character will arrive in the same apartment building everyone arrives in! It's a nice apartment you've got, fully stocked with furniture and amenities and food and clothes. You have a cell phone that can't be destroyed or lost that has access to the internet, a shopping app (you can buy literally anything; nachos to pet dragon), and your bank balance which seems to be set to infinity. So living doesn't seem to be an issue.
Living arrangements:
Apartments in the arrival building can have up to 5 characters, they can be very big luxurious abodes, so if you want to arrive together or appear in a friend's apartment as a new roommate, all good! Or maybe you arrive in a single-person apartment. Sometimes those get surprise overnight upgrades though, if players find they want it.
All living arrangements like roommates, furniture, apartment style etc are player-decided.
Other homes can be purchased (townhouse, mcmansion, dump by the river, shady shack? sky's the limit) but for the sake of forcing characters to interact it takes one OOC month from arrival for deeds to be purchasable and all characters must spend one night a week one of the arrival apartments or they will be randomly transported into someone else's bed. This of course is totally optional it's just there to give you a way to get characters to keep interacting. Or make new friends!
